previously on Arrow… Oliver Queen, aka: The Hooded Vigilante, aka: Arrow, has been protecting Starling City from the wealthy, evil dudes who control all the criminal activity in town. No one knows it, but the leader of the bad guys is Malcolm Merlyn, the father of Oliver’s best friend, Tommy. Malcolm is more than an evil billionaire, the last episode we discovered that he was The Dark Archer, Arrow’s nemesis. The Dark Archer defeated and nearly unmasked Arrow last episode.
Oliver’s mother, Moira, has been a part of Malcolm’s evil cabal and even engineered the death of Oliver’s father (an event that left Oliver stranded on an island for 5 years) to cover up the criminal organization. But, Moira has gotten tired of being bad and was all set to reveal Malcolm’s plans… until Malcolm’s men kidnapped her husband, Walter, to ensure she would stay quiet.
